How do I get PMP® certified?

Earning PMP® certification requires you to pass a rigorous 200 multiple-choice question exam within four hours. To write the exam you need to meet the following qualifications:

  • Secondary degree (high school diploma)

  • 7,500 hours leading and directing projects

  • 35 hours of project management education (PDUs) or CAPM® certification

  • Four-year degree

  • 4,500 hours leading and directing projects

  • 35 hours of project management education (PDUs) or CAPM® certification
